Use the original Rigger Aids ZIP downloaded from Superhive. Do not extract, rename, or modify the ZIP before installation.

Before You Install
- Use a supported Blender 5.x version. See the Requirements and Supported Blender Versions for the currently tested versions.
- Save your current Blender file.
- If you are updating, keep a copy of the previous Rigger Aids ZIP so you can roll back if necessary.
- Record any custom Quick Tools categories and Script Library paths before a clean reinstall, because removing an existing installation may reset add-on preferences.
Installing Rigger Aids

1. Install Through Superhive ā Recommended
First-time setup
- Open Blender 4.2 or newer.
- Sign in to your Superhive account in your web browser.
- Open the receipt page for Rigger Aids.
- Drag the Rigger Aids Extension file from the receipt page into the Blender window.
- Blender will ask permission to add Superhive as a remote repository.
- Review the prompt and confirm that you want to add Superhive.
- Review the Rigger Aids information and requested permissions.
- Click Install.
- In the 3D Viewport, press N and select the Rigger Aids tab.

After connecting Superhive
Previously and newly purchased Extensions will become available directly inside Blender. You can install and update Rigger Aids without downloading another ZIP:
- Open Edit ā Preferences.
- Open Get Extensions.
- Select or search the Superhive repository.
- Find Rigger Aids.
- Click Install or Update.

2. Install from Disk
- Download the Rigger Aids ZIP from your Superhive receipt or account.
- Open Blender.
- Go to Edit ā Preferences.
- Open Add-Ons.
- Open the menu in the upper-right corner and choose Install from Disk.
- Select the downloaded Rigger Aids ZIP.
- Confirm the installation if Blender asks.
- Search for Rigger Aids and make sure it is enabled.
- Close Preferences.
- In the 3D Viewport, press N to open the Sidebar and select the Rigger Aids tab.

3. Drag nā Drop ZIP File from Local Disk
- Download the Rigger Aids ZIP from your Superhive receipt or account.
- Open Blender.
- Open File Explorer.
- Locate Rigger Aids ZIP on File Explorer
- Grab Rigger Aids ZIP and drag it to opened Blender
- Keep the setting as is
- Click OK Button

Important ZIP Rules
- Install the downloaded ZIP directly.
- Do not place the ZIP inside another ZIP.
- Do not rename the internal
rigger_aids folder.
- Do not copy development folders such as
.git, example, or __pycache__ into the installation.
Updating Rigger Aids

Standard Update
- Save your work and close any Blender files that use Rigger Aids tools.
- Download the newest Rigger Aids ZIP from Superhive.
- Open Blender and go to Edit ā Preferences ā Add-Ons.
- Use the upper-right menu and choose Install from Disk.
- Select the new ZIP and confirm the installation.
- Make sure Rigger Aids is enabled.
- Restart Blender.
- Open Preferences and confirm that the displayed Rigger Aids version matches the downloaded release.
- Open a test file and verify that the Rigger Aids tab and your main workflows load normally.
If the Standard Update Does Not Replace the Old Version
- Keep the new and previous release ZIP files available.
- In Blender Preferences/Rigger Aids, Save your Rigger Aids Settings by clicking Save Button
- Disable Rigger Aids.
- Uninstall the existing Rigger Aids.
- Restart Blender.
- Install the new ZIP using Install from Disk.
- Enable Rigger Aids and restart Blender once more.
- Load your Rigger Aids Settings by clicking Load Button in Blender Preferences/Rigger Aids.

Do not keep two active Rigger Aids installations in different Blender extension or add-on locations. Duplicate installations can cause registration errors, duplicated panels, or an older version loading unexpectedly.

Verifying the Installed Version

- Open Edit ā Preferences.
- Search for Rigger Aids.
- Expand its information panel.
- Check the version number against the release shown on your Superhive download.
- If Blender still shows the previous version, perform the clean update procedure above.
